FAQs

Where does the Punch & Judy show work best?

It’s a flexible show that works well indoors or outdoors, in spaces where the audience can be seated a few feet back from the booth for clear viewing. It’s ideal for festivals, museums, heritage venues, schools, family fun days, care homes and holiday parks. The setup is straightforward and sound can be provided where needed.

What does the school show include?

Perfect for primary schools, the show mixes fun, magic and a touch of chaos while covering topics like Victorian England, seaside life, puppetry and British culture — all brought to life with jokes and surprises.

Can I book the magic show instead?

Yes, of course — the family magic show is a main show in its own right and works in all the same places as Punch & Judy, especially birthday parties. It can be booked on its own or alongside Punch & Judy for twice the fun and chaos.

Are balloons included?
Simple balloon creations can be included as a fun extra.

Is it suitable for all ages?

Yes — children, families, nursery groups and care home audiences. The show is always adapted to suit the audience.

Do you give talks or presentations?
Yes — Punch & Judy also makes an engaging illustrated talk for WI, Rotary and similar groups, sharing the history, characters and stories behind this traditional show.

Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes — full public liability insurance is in place.

Do you travel?

Yes — based in Teesside, Professor Mike brings his Punch and Judy and magic shows across the North East and Yorkshire, visiting Stockton, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Durham, Newcastle and Northumberland, plus nationwide for special events.
